The HELENE BAILLY MARCILHAC Gallery is pleased to lend Les voiles blanches (circa 1938) to the Malmaison Art Center in Cannes from December 2026 to April 2027.
This project aims to pay tribute to Francis Picabia, a major figure of modernity and an emblematic artist of the 20th-century avant-garde, closely connected to the Côte d’Azur.
The exhibition celebrates the centenary of his first presentation in Cannes in 1927, held at the Galerie des Ambassadeurs. From his stays on the Côte d’Azur to his pictorial research nourished by the Southern light, Picabia embodies a fertile tension between the avant-garde spirit and the Mediterranean horizon.
