The HELENE BAILLY MARCILHAC Gallery is pleased to loan three of Francis Picabia’s masterpieces to the exhibition: Picabia, Méditerranée. Picasso, Delaunay, Laurencin..., on view at the Musée d’Art Moderne de Céret from June 27 to November 29, 2026.
Dedicated to a pivotal period in Francis Picabia’s career, this exhibition traces, from a fresh perspective, the artist’s Machinist turn, the creation of the magazine 391, and the decisive influence of Catalonia on his work as well as that of his contemporaries. Bringing together nearly a hundred works by Picabia and his artistic circle, from Marcel Duchamp to Sonia Delaunay, it highlights the artist’s central role in spreading the avant-garde spirit in the early 20th century.
