Prêts Muséaux

Each year, Galerie HELENE BAILLY MARCILHAC takes part in numerous exhibitions in France and abroad through museum loans. In doing so, it strives to make artworks accessible to the widest possible audience, while fostering research and the dissemination of art history. Convinced that works of art must be shared and brought into the spotlight, the gallery sees itself as their guardian, ensuring their preservation and promotion.

In recent years, several prestigious institutions have hosted pieces from the gallery’s collection, among them the Musée d’Orsay and the Morgan Library & Museum for Renoir’s Drawings (2025–2026), the Museo della Permanente for Bonnard – Une infinie liberté (2026), and the Musée d’Angoulême for Maurice Denis en quête d’ailleurs (2025–2026).

Other loans have enriched major exhibitions such as Fernande Olivier et Pablo Picasso, dans l’intimité du Bateau-Lavoir at the Musée de Montmartre (2022–2023), Alberto Giacometti. Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man at the Bündner Kunstmuseum (2023), and Henri Martin / Henri Le Sidaner, deux talents fraternels at the Palais Lumière in Évian (2024–2025).

Through these collaborations, the works are placed within a rigorous museum context, conducive to their study and critical perspective, thereby finding their rightful place within large-scale international exhibitions.
